It's a valid question. We currently have 400+ nuclear powerplants around the world that have mostly been doing great for many decades. If we had just introduced these sooner, we might be in even better shape.

Also, maintaining solar farms is a whole big process too that can be innefficient. Some of these solar farms are already catastrophic to nearby wildlife, even ones in the desert. There's that one farm in Arizona that is vaporizing birds that fly by.

I suppose there's no 100% clean way of getting energy, but I do think Nuclear is such a low hanging fruit we could use.
