Oh absolutely. I’ve had underage girls flirt fairly aggressively with me (when I was 19/20/21 — when I still looked like one of those guys on the Abercrombie & Finch wallpaper, doing that sad-sexy smolder face haha. I’m 38 now and heading over the hill. ) And even though young girls can look very adult, and resemble a beautiful woman, I could never imagine “being” with one of them.

They are literally children on the inside. They don’t know what they are doing. Their brains aren’t developed. Hormones have way too much power over them. In some cases, they are just going through a rebellious phase or trying to impress their friends.

They don’t get the complications of sex and hookups, and can be lured into very difficult and compromising situations they aren't prepared to navigate.

You said perfectly, a man needs to be the adult in the room and walk away. The law is the law and it is in place for a reason. It’s designed (in part) to protect the children from people like Humbert.
