There’s been a lot of noise about Bros tanking at the box office.

Conservative and anti-woke YouTube channels have been dancing on its grave, especially after its lead actor said homophobia could be a reason for its underperformance.

I didn’t want to see the film after my girlfriend, Laura, described it to me — not because I dislike gay dudes. I am picky about going to the movies.

After Laura showed me the trailer, I begrudgingly admitted it looked funny, and we went to see it this weekend.

We loved it.

The movie is severely underrated and actually hilarious. I say that as someone who especially hates comedies and romcoms. Which is why I was perplexed it did so poorly at the box office.

After doing some research and analysis, I figured it out.

Bros is about a tall gangly, middle age gay podcaster, Bobby, who falls for this mega-jock, handsome lawyer, Aaron, who doesn’t seem like his type. Aaron is outwardly very straight and most would never “know”.
